The project was conceived out of user research which identified the usage varying from gaming to watching movies,without having to spoil the walls.
Floor Standing TV helps the user by giving height adjustment flexibility. The user can place the TV to the desired viewing height as per the gaming or theatre need.
Current scenario of TV usage for gaming and theatre mode.
Distinguished from previous brackets and stand, a DIY concept was adopted in the design considering wall damage and wire management.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT As Users were gearing towards entertainment and gaming,switching between the two modes was a constant requirement.
DESIGN DETAILS
The concept of a Telescopic TV stand which can be operated by a remote was taken forward. Making it flexible for the user to adjust height for the viewing needs. The Utility tray was an add on to resolve balance providing a purpose of keeping accessories of the TV.
The Concept Render was then prototyped to the working details
The model was developed in 2012 as LG55' EM9750.
